Disco 1 problem with ignition

I have fielded this problem in a previous thread. Help is needed to solve the problem which is:
Disco starts on the key if it has been switched off for a decent period of time, the problem arises when after a period of driving engine switched off, come back within 10 minutes and the starter will not turn over, insert the spare key and it will start.
I have renewed the ignition switch some 6 months ago and up until last week everything OK then the the problem started to arise again, it seems like the immobiliser comes into action, (thats my surmising). Perhaps it needs to go to a dealer, unfortunately they are not interested (and expensive)in a 22 yr old car. So does anyone know a specialist within striking distance of South Wales-PLEASE!

Year 1996, gear box standard as fitted . Fob seperate to key, no problems locking or opening.

and should we guess if it's manual or auto cos that's important to see which kind of immobiliser it has

Anyway as long as the vevicle reacts to the fob if you give an unlock command the immobiliser is inactive for the first 15 seconds so the vehicle must start with any key .... IMO there is some strange bad contact issue which coincidentally reacts to the key changes.

I take it that your issue is with cranking the engine only, also that the red LED is extinguished when the fob is placed near the ignition switch which will 95% of the time confirms that the engine is remobilised, with an iffy “spider” (if you vehicle is fitted with one) that LED indication can’t be relied on.
So other than a faulty spider immobiliser (intermittent starting issues is one symptom) all that’s left is an iffy circuit from the ignition switch starting with the connection into the fuse board then on to the starter motor/ solenoid connection, something which you have been advised on in previous threads/ posts.

Thanks for the advice, Manual box.
Discool I previously noted that I had changed the ignition switch/barrel and everything was fine for some months and a couple of thousand miles. As for previous advice I looked but couldn't find it, hence the new help call. Shall talk to the mech who looks after the car he will more than likely know where the "spider " is and various connections. Thanks.

If the engine has/had EGR it doesnt have spider immobilisation but DDS here are all the types for a '96
