hi there, ive recently purchased a series III 88" of a friend and we spent a 5 minutes getting it running and found that it was due to battery and fuel, once started we had to reverse it into an ideal parking spot, seems as we had towed it around 15miles (bought as a minor project) and failed to push it into the spot, at first it seemed to go into gear fine and spent 5 mins reversing and just getting it to go forward, then later on after we had left it we thought we'd give it a go of driving her to see how she went first off she went fine, drove about 80 meters in first and then went to change into second but there was nothing, seemed to grind a bit when moving so we left her in first and and turned around, when trying to reverse she seemed to have no gutts what so ever, tried her in Low and just managed to get her to turn back around, so we started driving back in first and then after about 20 meters there was nothing, she wouldnt go forward or go back, we tried in low and high and still nothing, im almost positive that its not the clutch because she goes into gear with no problem its just you dont go anywhere when you try, it would be a great, great help if anyone has any idea on what the problem could be, im no mechanic so i wouldnt have a clue as to what it would be

tbh with im not sure, im on here on behalf of my brother and he isnt the best help, were gonna spend a couple of hours in the week to see if we can see whats wrong, thanks for the quick response and help

if you can put it in gear and it has some drive however weak probably slipping clutch if it drives in low box or 4wd then rear half shaft

it goes into gear but theres no drive what so ever, not even a little movement, weve tried in both low and high and its the same

it was moving but yes not with full drive there wasnt any sudden lose until we found there was no drive, if that makes any sense

well we'll be picking up a clitch kit soon so hopefully that solves it, if not then ill be back on busting everyones brain lol, thanks for the help

Are you sure the transfer box is engaging properly? If the hi/lo lever isn't going fully hi or low it can leave the transfer box in a false neutral. Some owners use this as an anti theft measure to catch out the numpties!
