problem getting connection my eas software

I've use my eas software a few times with no problems get good idle straight away, when i recently tried to use it, im getting the green light flickering (green and red) i only get one comm which runs the programme (comm3)

What im i doing wrong, nothing has changed since last time.

Bad connection to socket maybe.

i have problem with the comm every time , can use comm 3 then next time i use it have to mess about can be anything from 1 to 5 just have to try each one.

Check your device manager port settings it will tell you which port the adaptor is in!

I have checked my usb ports, none of them are comm3, and dont run the my programme when selected, but does when comm3 is select.
when rx ans tx are running, it seems as if one is always jumping out of line, hence green then red.

If it worked before, it should work again, are you using the same USB port in the laptop?

mine did the same, it's an older Belkin lead.. i have a Prolific one which works 1st time overtime...
so could be a driver issue, and or chipset thing...

There are a lot of Prolific adaptors that do not work with the EAS because the are not a full RS232 implementation.

Not sure if im using the same usb, i have three within my laptop, should that really matter?
I will try each one in turn and see wheather it solves my problem!
