Been thinking of a private plate too and can't decide if they are naff or what so have decided to follow the Viz Top Tip of saving money on an expensive private plate and changing my name by deed poll to WJ59OWK.

My only claim to an almost private plate is the reg number on the artic I drive at work.

I prefer to personalise the plate to me rather than the other way around, after all, who cares if my initials are RF?

My Landy has the letters LTA, but I haven't thought up a suitable meaning for them, yet. Any ideas?

LTA = Let's take aff (doon this muddy track?)
LTA = Long Toothed Antique?
LTA = Lengthy Typed Answers (to questions on this forum?)
 
i once bought a vehicle with the plates bmw 525c on it.... previous owner had lost the log book... dvla claimed the reg didnt exist and issued a new age related reg no...... i never bothered getting new plates made as the combine harvester only did 200 yards a year on a country lane.....
 
got a private plate for me folks just short of 300 quid.Saw a disco 3 with M7 RRS which confused me, a E class merc with M3 ffs which amused me and a car with a non private plate, whic started kn03 which made me chuckle.
 
Now that the 2011 car registrations are out

a famous jockey has bought FA11 OFF

David Jason has bought DE11 BOY

and rumour has it Jordan has ME11 ONS

but don't worry there's still a chance for a few on here to get

BE11 END
