Should my petrol tank be pressuring itself??

I run both lpg and petrol and this issue has only started in the past few months but whenever I finish a journey either on petrol or lpg there is a humming noise from petrol filler hole. When I release the petrol cap there is an almighty amount of pressure release or petrol fumes/vapour. I'm worried the plastic fuel tank will rupture under pressure on a long journey or even explode sending petrol all over the hot exhaust thus causing a scene from a bond movie as I travel down the motorway. (Will look impressive at night) but I love my disco rare. Not well done thanks.

I don't know about "almighty amount of pressure" but there is a hiss when releasing the fuel-cap.
I also have the hum around the offside rear wheel, never bothered me to find the source... but it only happens after a run in the warm weather and only for a couple on minutes max.

Ok well seems I don't have that much to worry about if it's not just mine doing it. The hum does only last a few minutes. And yes as it's only been doing it last few months it has been warm it's probably the warm air plus heat from exhaust etc. I'll look at the breather hose to tank and see if blocked. Just another job to add to the vast list of "things to look at"

been a while since i've looked at petrols. does the d1 have evap? iirc it's normal for a slight pressure buildup and then evap gets rid of it at defined levels.

the cap is vacuum only.

it should only be a small hiss though, not a load of pressure
