silly question i suppose but as i have just put new shoes on the series3 i wondered what pressures to put in i am running 235/85/16 and would like to know what sort of pressure to put in for mainly road use cheers

well as your running them on the road 35 should be fine. i run mine at 30-32 but mine gets used 50/50 road laning, so that works well for me, but i think most others run 35 for the road. what boots did you get?

if you aint got power steering, you might be better off with 40 in the front.

I am running Michelin XPE A/T and the correct pressure for those is 52psi

No thats what is writen/stamped on the tyre wall!!! have had them on my series for the last year and still no discernible wear!

It says "if living in Ireland please inflate to max pressure as this will lessen the damage caused by the massive pot holes to your wheel rims"

Besides that i do a lot of towing and also the vehicle is always loaded!

my thoughts exactly looks like i will keep them at 25 psi feels ok on road so i guess my first instinct may be right cheers all

I tend to run mine at 25, a couple of pounds above the minimum allowed for RTVs (allows for gauge variations,) but raise then to about 35 if I've got a long journey (not very often)

It says in the Haynes book:

6.00 x 16, 6.50 x 16, 7.00 x 16, 7.10 x 16 and 7.50 x 16

SWB & LWB models

tyre pressure front and rear 25 lb/square inch (1.8 kg/square cm)
Note: if the load is over 500 lb (250kg) the rear tyre pressures should be increased to 30 lb/square inch (2.1 kg/square cm)

Well thats what it says in the haynes manual....me personally, I'm gonna wack 80lb in front tyres and pretend I got PAS

dint ferget that once yer gort yer 80psi in yer tyres, the treads wint work properly so wint get rid of the water and yule end up with that racing slick effect.
