How do you apply the Handbrake?

i keep the button in at all times :D i adjusted a month or so back because it was using all its travel. now it holds on the 3rd click... only problem is, it doesnt actually hold! i think i need to replace the pads or something :( bugger. so now i have to leave it in gear everywhere i go.

Pull up on sloping driveway, apply handbrake, wait until she who must be obeyed is half way out of the door, then remove foot from brake pedal so that car lurches forwards, depositing swmbo ass over tit onto the front lawn.
 
On ma gaylander i like a slow click ,if i pulls ard the doors come orft and back window go's down. . . .
