If your in no rush and you can pop it over and wait one week as a favour and a few quid i do it for u but your need a cheap car to bring it over

Get the axle acid dipped like I did. £35 - JFD.
Then paint it up like so:

Meh. That was 'cos I didn't get the paint on them soon enough.
Doesn't take long for the moisture to start turning them again!
When they come out my work shop you could leave them for a year and they wouldn't rust as long as you don't get them wet its called zinc phosphate

I been doing this for years if you think a wire brush on a grinder is going to make something like this , the diff probably be as bad

Then your dreaming !
When i do things I do it properly!
So you dipped it with crown wheel still in seals in ect ect ? That's what I mean you have to do the shell only my way you don't it is more cost effective if your not rebuilding the diff does that make sense now.
