I've possibly been offered a pair of Discos cheap. One is an M-reg 300Tdi, but the other is apparently an 'F' registered 200-series. I know about the C-JKG examples, and the G-WAC's, but were there any pre-production models registered on an F-plate? Both have rot issues (I'm interested in the 300Tdi for spares for my 90), but if the 200 is indeed a pre-production model I'll not break it, though it apparently needs major work to make it road legal again.

Hopefully I'll be able to go and check them out in the next week or two.

Anyone have any more info?
 
Best bet is to contact the discovery owners club, as they have a group dedicated to the pre production models.
Other option would be to contact gaydin with the chassis number.
It is of course possible that it has got a private plate on it. The only F reg one I know about is the one that Landrover registered last year for the 1 millionth discovery celebrations
 
Apparently it's a Coventry registration. Waiting for my mate to get back to me, though I probably won't see him till later in the week.
