Doing mine Masai red with Ivory White roof and wheels. Love it! Although brown was considered. Let's face it, if you want an original colour, there isn't a lot of choice. Main thing to consider with a colour change, is how rubbish it will look when scratched, doors open, mats lifted etc. with the old colour peeking through.
As it needs a bit of a touch up I am going to re spray it and the general response I expect to this is to keep it the classic blue and cream colour scheme which is probably what ill do! but does anyone have any suggestions for a colour scheme??
That looks like a great 110! Other than some 7.50 tyres I dont think I would change much about that, it looks very clean and original!
It doesnt need repainting by my (low) standards, but I would certainly go same colours again. I think that would have had black wheel arches originally, not body coloured, if you want a really original look.
I'd personally go for the original colours- it's good to keep these pre-defender models standard IMO. The only time I'd consider doing a colour change is if I was completely disassembling it. Then you can get to all of the body panels individually and get a complete coverage. Otherwise you'd have odd bits of another colour which would spoil the effect. If you're keeping the load frame in the back, I'd just give that a couple of brush coats of black to neaten it up while you're at it. Looks quite purposeful and utilitarian Technically the wheel arches should be black along with the headlight surrounds, but it looks good in body colour too- your choice of course.
That blue/green and not-quite-white combination does look good on a pickup- it's funny how Landys tend to suit colour schemes that would look horrible on anything else
It looks proper original. If you went for a classic colour say bronze green it would look contrived and naff. I have an S3 painted Masai Red but used to be marine blue. Whilst I like both those I'd like to change but can't decide. One colour it won't be is that ****e brown colour they did later series County models. What a miserable feckin colour for any vehicle.
