power steering

There is/was someone selling a kit which was a ram which replaced the steering damper. Other options include adapting the Rover P4 car system, but I would think they're near impossible to find now, so not worth considering, or adapting the Defender unit. A lot of work but can be done.
Have you tried 50pii in the front tyres? Seriously try totally overhauling all your steering and making sure everything is perfect and correctly lubricated. Unless you are running stupidly wide tyres the steering shouldn’t be too heavy. The trouble is we are all getting used to stupidly light steering with no feel.
Power steering was never an option on Series Land.

I like the look of that Corsa inline thing. Does it require a seperate controller? I reckon though a Corsa doesn't actually need that much help - unlike a Series!! Do you reckon it would be up to the challenge?

it does require the ECU plus a small box of components to trick it into thinking it's still connected - plenty of people selling them on ebay for about £60, i've made a few and they use less than a fivers worth of parts

like i said we've just fitted one to a GD427 and it's more than up to it so i dont think a series would be much of a challenge - just need to work out how to engineer it in
 
As Davec said above if you keep your steering set up correctly and don't run stupid tyres it shouldn't be a problem. My daughter's pug 106 without pas is harder to park than a series landy.
 
what's this 'Corsa B' and 'Corsa C' malarkey all about? Is it some kind of car model designation or something to do with the PAS unit? Sorry, Corsas are all a bit new to be on my automotive horizon.

corsa b was the first corsa they brought out
corsa c is up to 06 plate
now the corsa d is out 56 onwards

not sure if the b had any, i know the c haas just been recalled got my letter today, PAS unit gettin moist and catchin fire so be carefull if gettin a C unit, think the D unit is the same as the c but without the problems
 
There's folks on fleabay hawking "B" PAS units so I guess it possibly did.

Moisty in a corsa probably equals soaking in a Series. I'll bear that in mind - thanks for the info.
