OOh thanks so much but the car I was looking at was such a total dog I changed my mind. Now looking at another one with an unexplained oil leak. Would think I had had enough of this with 10 years of morris minors! Any ideas what common reasons for freelander oil leaks?

Hi ... only owned a freelander for over a week now and i've noticed the power streering pump is covered in oil ... but i have also noticed the bottom hose on the power streeering oil reservoir is lose and i'm hoping its just the oil running down the hose to the pump .... but i wont know for sure untill i swap the clip on the hose with a jubilee clip

I know the answer now, at least at local land rover place is £285 without air con and £356 with. Good luck with the jubilee clip!
