power steering problems

I've got a similar issue to you mate. Often, when I first start her up, the power steering goes super-heavy. Typically, if I then turn her off and then turn the ignition again, its works fine. From previous advice, I've checked the PAS levels and its on the mark - without looking/ smelling burnt out. I can live with it, but would like to find a solution.

Hello mate! I will go to a landrover service on wednesday.Hope they will give me a diagnosis on this problem.I have a guarantee on my car,so i don`t have to pay anything for this.Hope i can come back to you with some answers.:confused:
 
Hello! Now my rangie is at the workshop.In the meanwhile i have to drive a 2001 jaguar x type 3,0.They think they have found the troublemaker.Earlier they changed the servo pump and the pressure sensor.It is the speed unit in the abs that makes trouble.My abs is also defect because of this.The seller checked the price on a new abs module in Norway.£ 1300.He thought it was too expensive,so he looks after a used one,or overhauling the old one.Is it someone of you out there who knows if the abs speed unit is placed together with the pump,or under the seat? Hello! Now the workshop got a used abs ecu from your country.I t took 24 hours before the power steering stopped again.It always happen some times when i start the car.I have also "hdc inactive" when i start the car after it has been parked for 8-10 hours about.Is this maybe a abs sensor or? Thankful for answers from you "specialists" out there.

its a long shot try resetting the steering angle again to see if hdc goes out,could be battery problems if it only does this after standing
