power steering conversion for ex-MOD Defender 110

Hi
I have a 1994 Defender 110, with a 2.5disel NA. i want to convert to power steering and looking for advice on where i can purchase the required parts (pump, pipes, reservoir, new steering box, etc...)
any advice would be mots welcomed.

Welcome to the forum, best place for those posts are in the 90/110 section lots of knowledge in there and more people will see it.
You even have your own sub forum under engines as well

However i have done that on my 90 a few years ago.

Best place to start is an Old discovery, and rob the pump and pipes etc from there.

Bracket off the block is useful mine cam out of a 200tdi.


Need a bit of meddling to get the alternator to sit right and i believe i may even have the gates belt that you need as well, will have a look in my shed of many things

A friend did this by getting the complete system from a disco 1.

Easy

power steering from a 2.5TD will bolt straight on, you will probably need to change the crank damper though.

you can also fit the PAS off a 200tdi.

my he hardest part to find are the brackets to attach it all, breakers are your best bet.

barney at Cornish wreckers will probably have the bits
