You're paranoid because you're looking for it. It probably always puffed a little from cold and you never noticed. Mine does a similar thing when the weather is colder and my new engine has only just done 1400 miles. Only difference is I'm not losing any coolant.

I'm paranoid about diesel in the engine oil because thats what killed two turbos and eventually my old engine at 102k miles. Bottom end was perfect with minimal wear on the bearing shells but the top end was fragged with bits of metal everywhere.

Your probably right, espically seeing as its the first time ive tried to do anything like this, ok, i think to be sure ill try running food die through the coolant system and see if it comes out the back or into the engine bay.... but this coolant thing as doing my head in... and as you know, im this close to buying that HiLux ;)
