undo front banjo bolt on injection pump , work lift pump or turn engine over with stop solenoid wire off if should pour out with no air ( a clear plastic pipe placed between front banjo bolt and filter is a good diagnostic tool for checking air in system) but slackening bolt can be useful too, if it looks like air check all pipe connections, then replace lift pump, if thats good remove solenoid (15/16 or 24mm spanner i have a cut up and ground down one i made for the job? take plunger a spring out and refit and try engine running(whilst out look inside pump for fillings a sign pumps failing)That's what I was assuming. If the FIP is working, even at 50% efficiency, then more than a drip should come from the injector pipe. The fuel pressure entering the FIP, from the fuel filter, is under huge pressure. That's what makes me think it's the FIP at fault. If it was timing, surely some fuel would exit the injector pipe, just in the wrong order/sequence.
What should I try/start with?
