I've always been quite interested in the ring rac900. Bit expensive but had very good reviews. The britpart ones are actually quite reasonably priced and I've heard pretty good as well

Cheers guys. I was looking at the Ring RAC700 but I guess it isn't man enough in reality.

I saw the sh*t part ones on eBay but didn't know if they were any good or not as most of their parts seem to get slated.

The T-Max looks a good contender at present as does the Sh*t part one. I will have a butchers in Costco next time I am in also as I recall they had one in there.

Looks like whichever I go for, the decent ones have clamps directly to the battery rather then being fed through the cigar lighter.

I use an RAC900. I have it mainly for caravanning as the hose is plenty long enough to reach the caravan tyres when connected to the Defenders battery. It also inflates to a higher pressure than some, my caravan tyres are 60psi.

It comes with various attachments that I've found useful for blowing up things like paddling pools, dingys etc. the croc clip connectors are useful. I keep meaning to fit battery terminals to the outside of my seat box to make things easier.

The airman range are good,I've got a couple of the small ones(don't know model no off hand)again a bit slow but I've had them running for long periods on big tyres and they seem to take it in their stride without burning out.

Afternoon...... can anyone recommend a decent portable 12v compressor for tyre inflation? Looking to get one to keep in the 90, don't want to spend too much though.

I bought a good one from Halfords about 2 years ago. It's a Michelin one and circular with a digital read out, which you can set to PSI or BARS. It plugs into the cigar lighter socket and the lead stows away in the base. It also has a built in light. Cost about £42.

Shirley your not still looking for one,

Ah! you never said you were asking Santa for it "Ho HO HO"

Yeah still looking as I have been spending too much money on building my carport and garage plus haven't had the need as I havent had much time to take the landy out green laneing.

The mrs is on my case asking me what she can get me for christmas. I think I will go with the one in the link as it seem a good spec fer the money.
