Not being funny and I'm sure your intentions were 100% totally honourable but you can kinda see why a (presumably) lone frightened female might not want to willingly attach herself and her car to that of a total stranger out in the snow "offering assistance" who then has the ability to drag her and her car off to wherever they might want to.

We know you were only trying to do the right thing but a bit of empathy goes a long way you know...
