anyway looking for something to circulate water again before i lose the koi i have

what flow rate do you need?

..ok just checked. it claims 9 cube an hour

Fook me! for a pond! The velocity of the water in the pump is waaayyy too high if it actually pumps what it claims! It would be so inefficient its daft!

ps if it did actually pump 9 cube an hour that 2.5 ltrs a second. Out of that ****y little thing? i dont think so!

because im really bored ive just done a quick calc...

basically if its assumed that there is no connectors on the pump unit, (so no hoses!) it would have a rough velocity of 35 mtrs a sec going through it! Which would produce a pressure drop of around 5 bar!!!

If you added a couple of meters of 3/8" hose pipe... this pressure drop increases to around 25 bar!!!! I have assumed hose pipe due to the quick lock connectors it is fitted with.

....

Fook im bored

have you checked the impelor isnt jammed up with crap? or that the filter on it isnt blocked if it has one? have to clean mine out regularly otherwise it stops pumping

looks like going to have to bite the bullit

hagen not interested unless you have proof of purchase

you can buy new spares for those pumps i reckond the fing that spins inside (not impeller) to do with the leccy has been seeping water in and destroyed it

the only part that comes out is the impeller
every thing else is like moulded epoxy??
so you cant do anything
exept impeller

lost the reciept no proof of purchase
so hagen was not interested
told them i could supplly
everthing exept receipt still no further forward
so just kissed goobye to nearly 200 quid for 6/9 months use
on an item that had 3 years warrenty
thanks again

There has to be a way in even if the seam is glued.

Hacksaw carefully and re glue, sounds like you have little to loose ;)

Arent the Laguna pumps induction motors though? ie no actualy shaft coming out to the impellor..........

If thats the case then its a burnt out coil, nothing you can do with it.
