Points system....

I'm aware of the points system with the dvla about what you can change like transmission engine and chassis. So the question is,

Im getting a 54 86"series one and have a v8 and 2a gearbox, will the gearbox count as a transmission point ? Or is it not substantial enough to count as it will still have s1 axles etc.

Haven't started this project yet but just getting an idea of what to do.

Think you lose 1 for engine and 2 for the transmission. But if every else is original that's no problem.

Agree

You need to retain 8 points as you know.

5 chassis
2 Axles
2 Suspension
2 Steering assembly

11 points, jobs a goodun!

Well it's like Herding cats trying to get in contact with the welsh farmer and the family friend who knows him and the step dad that's licensed to pull the trailer all committed to one day for collection. Was supposed to be at mine weeks ago
