Hello every one, i just got my land rover HSE 4.6L V8 last friday, ive been fixing all the little bit's that i could see was wrong like, blubs on the dash, vacuum hose for the cruise control, rear boot struts and light wiper blades..........Today when i was moving the landy out side my garage, i had just started it and got out the car and i saw black oil splatter come out of both exhaust pipes and there's alot of white smoke copming out too!!!! can any one tell me if the head gasket is gone?

Ok The "Black Oil Splatter" isn't "Black Oil Splatter" its "SOOT" build up in yer exhaust system mixing with Condensation from a warm Engine Running in COLD weather ....

The same applies to yer "White Smoke" its Condensation due to COLD weather ...

Are you Using/losing any water when you got fer a run Ect ????

Could just be condensation in the exhaust. Check if your using water.

HI Claw, thank you for replying i did panic when i saw the black stuff come out. I dont really know about the water level il check the water in the morning. Thank you very much.
