I´m not new to vehicles, I find my tools in the garage and built a few US cars before. I have never really considered a Range Rover as a daily, but always liked the design. Right now I´m in to resuscitate a Series 3 88", I´m hopeful of the outcome from this.
The other day a 2005 Range Rover Sport TdV8 came up for sale here (in Sweden). The seller states the engine is shot from being filled/driven with petrol. The add says everything else works, nice leather interior, "beatiful" metallic blue exterior etc etc. It does not state actual milage. The car is just a 30 min drive from where I am, so I can pop over anytime.
Questions are: What´s the value of this car? Ballpark figure will do.
Replacing the engine. A friend of mine had a newer Discovery on which the turbos had to be replaced. He said the only way the authorized mechanics could get to the engine/turbos was to take the body off. 3 times as the turbos continued to brake down. So, what´s involved in replacing the engine in this 2005 Range Rover Sport TdV8?
Both me, but especially my wife will be forever thankful if you can talk me out of this as soon as possible.
Thank you//Car1
