That wiring diagram is from the early car - suspect the engine harness wasn’t swapped over from the original engine.

Later wiring diagram has a red/white trace to first gear switch and goes direct to instrument pack

Sorry I was seeing the pink on temperature, that's what they are with the tracers.
Everything seems to be sorted anyway just that the 1st gear switch is duff

It seems the source of the amber hdc light while driving was the reverse and 1st gear switch were on at the same time

Can the 1st gear switch be taken out with out emptying the gear box of oil

Please need tech help
