Please help various issues! mainly cant get into car!

Hi, Would appreciate any help!
I have a P38 diesel (N reg) that was borrowed by someone and one of the airbags went bang not a big problem but it was then driven for soem miles like that which cant be good then left to sit for some weeks and now he went to start it and cant even get in as the battery is dead and the car doesnt have a key hole.
So any ideas how i can get into the vehicle and then start it to get it to somewhere to fix
 
i believe the door handle on the passenger side has been replaced yes the mechanism is still inside the door just no barrel or key hole
 
The passenger handle wouldn't have had a keyhole to start with, but there should be one on the drivers handle unless that was removed as well.

I'm sure I read a post about someone using a long length of stiff wire fed from under the rad up to the bonnet catch to release the mechanism...I might me making that up though! Worth a search.
I doubt you'd be able to get the grill off without breaking the whole thing to get to the catch.
 
Cheers JD will try and look for that. Cant get the bonnet open to get to the battery so cant get the jump leads on plus its parked the wrong way round
 
From under the car sounds like a good idea but is it accessable? and if so does the ign not have to be on for it to start? or I am being stupid here or something?
 
Yeh sounds good but I cant get into the car to turn the key either really need some way of getting into the bonnet so I can charge the battery and then hope that the remote locking still works
 
I think what the guys mean is if you put jump leads and a battery on to the starter it will send the power back up the starter live cable to the battery then your fob should be able to open the doors ;)
 
So the bonnet has been opened and battery charged but fob won't work as its prob out of sync and due to no key hole cant use eka code or just open the door with the key any ideas on this front? Please

To resync try taking door card off and operating what is left of the mechanism that would have been operated by the lock with a pokey thing with door closed and while poking press lock button on fob?

It would seem that someone has fitted a LHD passenger door hand to the drivers door hence no key hole in either the drivers or passenger door to manually open the doors.

I take the Rangie is still locked with no way of operating the door locks or accessing the trim panels.

Scotsnumpty could you please comfirm this is the case???
