Hi all, it pains me to put this as my Disco has been problem free for the last few years, but.

Its a 300tdi manual with the spider removed.

The other day I went to start it, (it had not been locked since turning it off) and the immobiliser light (the one thats a disco with a big key in it) came on. After pressing the unlock button on my fob it started fine. It did this for a couple of days. And again:D yesterday and then i got no response out of the fob.

The only way i could get it to start was with a screw driver across the starter terminals.

I have replaced the battery in the fob but with no effect.

Has anyone got any ideas.

Thanks Chris.

Did you totally discharge the fob when you took the battery out? Take the battery out and press both buttons a dozen or so times. Then replace battery and resync.

The fob battery is a CR2032, it sounds like it needs to re-synch, but you're having probs ...

It sounds like you need a tester to re-programme the fob ...

Thanks for the replies, have got it sorted today. Tried synching my remote with a diagnostics kit with no luck. But synched another fob and all is ok.
