*TL:DR READ THE BOLD PARAGRAPH*
Nobody likes a long post, but please, take the time to help a fella out.
Rubbish Weekend!
Guys, i hope someone can help.

My 2017 3ltr needed some TLC, Brake warning light and MOT moaned about lipped front discs.

Replaced front Drives side yesterday with no issue.

Today, went to do the passenger side and the T50 guide screw would NOT move! - snapped a T50 bit, bought a new one from Halfrauds and then it rounded out the screw head, luckily that disc wasn't bad so ive left in place - short of drilling it out what other options do i have? Weld a nut on?
So. i moved onto the rear, engaged parking brake maintenance mode, waited for the motor to stop; my dad is old school and kept going on about just taking the motor off and winding back in manually, i was like Noooo we dont need to pops. lets just run with it and let the technology be great. Everything cleaned off new shims and pads in place then it hit... the piston had no moved back in far enough. tried to wind it but wouldnt budge, again, my dad.. just take off the motor Son... No pops, we dont need too...
I jumped back in to the car thinking i had not engaged correctly, did it again. and then disaster, the bloody motor went to re-engage and wound the piston right out, the seal is still in place but there was some brake fluid lost.

Why the hell is there not an auto stop on these buggers.

I have left the car there tonight still in situ, today was a write off, it was snowing then pouring down and i was cold and wet and VERY miffed off.

SO! Guys, Who else has this happened too? Who can advise on what the next steps are? Is it knackered? what do i do about the lost fluid; i read that i need a LR Diag machine to engage the ABS pump to repressurise?

Dad seems to think he will be able to sort it tomorrow by knocking the motor off, reseating the piston and winding it back on, i have a gut feeling this wont be so easy.

OH, and in other news, its a good job i have some new rubber....
Is it Camber or tracking that causes this awful wear?

Are you being serious?
No mate, i thought i would make it all up and post on this forum for ****s and giggles.

Not that you would give a hoot reading from your response...

I have sorted it today, took the caliper off the car which lead to one of the mounting screws for the EPB motor to snap off, you really could not write this! - dont think the car has had any real TLC since new.

Got the piston re-seated and seals all in tact, put it all back together and seemed to be good.

Had to be very gentle with the bleed valve seeing how the rest of my luck has been, managed to get it off clean and did an old school two man bleed, appears to be no air in the line but i do have a bit of a spongey brake pedal, thinking back though, i am sure it is no worse than before - i will do a full system bleed once ive done the other, final, corner and put the Foxwell to some use - if it will read my car, if not, i guess its a ABS jump cable; or, "take it to a professional".

New tyre going on in the morning and ill do the other rear at the weekend but shall not be using the Brake maintenance mode and will just do it old school! - not having this again!

Well, it wouldn't be first time such a thing had happened.
You were seriously driving around with a tyre looking like that?

Again, i just made that up... no mate, i found this picture off a google search when looking for idiots on the road.

Seriously though, YES! yes i have, and yes i am ashamed to admit that but i am not scared of the truth and i can admit when i F'd up.

I am here looking for the help, support and guidance of, what i thought, like minded landy owners.

The bit i should have pointed out in my opening thread:
I had 3 changed 3 months ago at the time of MOT, keep in mind, my car PASSED its MOT, I knew it was low, I have had a new tyre sat in my garage to have changed since the garage could only get 3
But just not had chance to get to it, I wouldn’t have thought I would have gone from legal to that in 3 months, needless to say, I am very lucky to have not been in an accident and I am doing something about it now.
All the best.

We are like minded Land Rover owners who really are quite helpful to each other. I know nothing about new ones but by the sound of it yours has not been looked after very well in the past.
Just amazed some one drives with a tyre like that, you need your bushes and suspension components checked, 4 good tyres and 4 wheel alignment as you have a problem.
By the way we often have jokers posting random stuff just for the sake of it.
Go and say hello in the relevant section and stick around for your next problem or help someone else out.
