have acquired a 1tonne chain hoist for the princely sum of feckall.. :D that along with the 2legged chainset I have means that I can now shift chassis around & turn it over etc rapidly and simply.

I've done a bit more Welding on it over the weekend. Bloody ran out of gas. SOds law it had to happen 1st day of easter weekend  Made some angle iron out of 5mm plate and reinforced the springhanger with it, using the Stick welder to weld them up.

getting a fender back on the road....priceless..

Got sent to the workshop to collect the tent for the weekend. So I thought I'd sneak an hr on the welder.. and welded the spring hanger back on. A bit OTT but to make sure it stays on, I'd previously made and welded an angle piece to each side, made out of 4mm steel.

Did a bit more yesterday. Finally getting to the end of all the patching. This corrosion where the AFrame crossmember sits on the chassis is typical of Crap British design and engineering. Mud sits in the dip and rots the fecker out. So I'm doing a bit of a redesign.

Well all the patching and repairing is done,

All that's needed now is the rear crossmember from Pressbrake, then cut the rotten arse off and weld noo crossmember on. To make sure everything goes back where it's supposed to I've made a jig to line everything up.

As I'm awaiting delivery of the noo HD rear crossmember. I thought I'd make a start on renovating the replacement Bulkhead I purchased several years ago  & which has sat in the workshop doing feckall.

The pics of it are here, if you've not seen a bulkhead before???

Oh and reason why half the pics include a steel rule, is because I need to know dimensions when I start patching it up..

Have cut several rot patches away, today. But you'll have to wait for them pics, because I forgot to take me fone with me today..

Nice to see you kept it ;)

Beg steal or borrow the bits to make a county ;)

I wont tell you how much a neighbour sold his nice 110 county fer a couple of years ago when the bulkhead rotted . :(

ok I will . About £700  :D
