anyone in the beds/northants area interested in off roading/working on off roaders, i have a workshop and my own off roaders but am seriously lacking enthusiasm at the mo, wondered if anyone local who had some time on there hands was interested in helping out in return for days out off roading and poss the use of my workshop, no money involved, more a ....you help me i help you kinda situation.
No fooker eva elped me out wiv my mota, only got a tea brought out to me twice in 2 years!I see where ya coming from, "come round well fix/bodge/break our motas together".twice as much work gets done, more tools to play with and a new mate chucked in for free. Shame i knocked mine on the head, cos none of my mates were into landys, a few are a bit chavy and into body kits and 2 inch alloys but they really arent mechanicly minded, all show no go.

You can come and play up here...we don't mind. :D:D

seriously rob where do take your offroader do you do the awdc comps howling wolf etc or more a fun thing to have fun with at pay and play. I do like the buzz from competing but have yet to build anything that is ground braking other than my 90 which is very much still work in progress lol
I really fancy a go at a team recovery but that requires a sorted ccv mota that is still to be running let alone sorted

thats pretty much my line of thought, can have a good crack in the workshop if you got a sense of humour, i enjoy messing around with the motors as much as i do driving them, me mate boogered of to oz to live and its pretty boring working on them now.

I never managed top get my motor up to spec for comps let alone keep it running long enough lol, usualy pay n play days with green laning thrown in when it was road legal, now its just a seriously stupid toy and wont get an mot on it, my next project will be a road legal one and might look at getting it fully specked up for comps....thats a way off yet though lol

interested to know how you stop it from breaking shafts with the tyres you are running unless you have gone the ashcroft shafts cv's pinned diffs etc i think if i get any bigger diameter tyres i need to get ashcroft stuff cos i would get well ****ed off changing shafts and cv's or not being able to give it some abused when needed then again even now im paranoid in gonna break something lol guess im just gonna have to keep driving with SOME sympathy till i can afford some shiny new bits

Not got ashcrofts, have gone down the kam route, locker and strengthened shafts, (supposedly stronger than ashcrofts) not managed to break them yet, only did it cos i got ****ed of changing shafts diffs etc !!! lol
Am yet to do the front axle but that is on the list of to do's, because the lift i am running with its usually the diff nose bearing that goes, must get the radius arms sorted to bring the diff back in line, but then again am thinking bout changing me wheels so i can lower it back down 3-4 inches then problem solved.
