hi there

i want to wire in my new tracker in and instead of taking live straight from battery i want to piggyback from a permanent live which is live 24/7 even when car is off.

so is there a permanent live wire i could connect two or do i have to run it straight to the battery.

check that when disco go's to sleep that it is still live as after about 7 days most of the electrics switch off until you open the drivers door
 
When i first got my disco i noticed that if i did not use it for a week or more the fob would not work although the light on the fob showed it working. i had to unlock the door with the key and then press the unlock on the fob after that everything works as it should. I asked a landrover specialist to have a look at it he told me it was normal as after about a week some of the electric’s shut down to stop the battery going flat. As i have had the disco for 13 years and whenever i don’t use it for a week or more the fob will not work but using the key always resets it then i believed what he told me. We all make mistakes thankfully sierrafery is there to put it right
