Thanks guys, that’s all super helpful. I’ve been squirting screw fix no-nonsense fluid on for a couple of days. Will pop to euro car parts for Plus Gas.

Will get a wire brush / flap disk for drill / dremel too.

Probably going to start this tomorrow -will let you know how I get on !

I would check their stock first, the one here in Poole sometimes runs out, hence getting my supply from Amazon :)

Just cheap plastic ones I picked up somewhere, I just chuck them when they no longer work
Those cheap ones tend to leak at the trigger, I put some kettle de-scaler in one to do a bit of de-scaling that the usual stuff wouldn't
touch and, it leaked and burnt me fingers, bloody hurt:mad:

So, while the hub should disassemble reasonably easily as it’s been apart recently to replace the front diff, work has paused because (apart from it being OH’s birthday) the Lemforder ball joints I ordered from ECP had transformed into Febi-Blistein ones by the time they’d arrived.

a bit of digging and it seems that these are ‘old stock’ (they don’t list them any more) but they have the same part no.

now I’m just a bit concerned and p*seed off as, while I’m sure they’re of a decent standard, they’re not what I ordered and -can I be certain they’re an exact replacement ?

Do any of you gave experience of Febi-Blistein ? (I mean, I know the name)

Should I just go ahead and try them ? Should I ask for a rebate ? Or should I demand they send me the parts I ordered ?

thanks again

Bob

You could check the price difference between Lemforder and Febi Bilstein, on other suppliers lists, could tell you which
is the better quality.
