Disco 1 Parts compatibiltiy

Can anyone tell me if the brake master cylinder on the 200tdi is same as 300tdi? Or same as any Defenders etc?

I've been told one or 2 are the same.

It's just to aid in ordering as finding a lot of advertised 300tdi ones way cheaper for same brands etc.

And in fact if anybody knows what all is interchangeable and what's not would be a great help. Lots of 300tdis being broken locally bit 200tdi is a rare beast in my neck of the woods.

Would be handy to know. Lots of conflicting info elsewhere online and from locals. Been wrongly informed into buying a few unsuitable parts already that can't be returned!

Locally have 2 shops telling me yes exactly the same and 1 telling me no, different. Trying to find out as 300tdi ones are selling much cheaper so if its same fit then Id like to try and save a few quid.

I don't know the answer to your question about the servo, but the online parts catalogue here:-

will help you identify which bit you need, one would hope that if the same part number is listed for a 200 as a 300, then they would be the same part

.... but LR may have different rules

not sure how much help it will be but if you go on www.paddockspares.com/ and search for the part you want with most it lists the "other" landy's it will fit. could be a way of checking what parts are interchangeable.

STC1286 for ALL models after VIN LA081991.

VIN LA081991 and earlier is NTC4294, which is no longer available.

THANKS FOR THE HELP GUYS.

Finally managed to locate part number required using the links. Couldn't afford (didn't want to spend) the price of original part etc and didnt want a cheapy britpart replacement so opted for Bearmach rtc5834r brake master cylinder repair kit.

However...theres a LOT of parts in it. Obviously I just need to be careful but does anybody have an exploded parts diagram of the disco 200tdi brake master cylinder?

Searched for a good hour today on my break and cant find one anywhere.

I don't have an exploded parts diagram of a master cylinder repair kit but I know there's one in my Haynes manual.
so if u have a Haynes, but u could simply Google 'D1 master cylinder, and no doubt there will be a few diagrams if you click 'image' 200 or 300 they are the same.

No I cant find a single exploded view on google no matter how I play with the search words...it will give me master cylinder parts diagram for every other 4 or 2 wheeled vehicle on the planet but none for a disco.

Cant believe the Haynes has it!!! Have one on order but tbh didn't think it would contain that anyway!
