Hello, I have a 1997 300tdi discovery and i have noticed that smoke appears every now and then.It seems to be running ok and engine sounds fine.I have noticed the oil level is over the maximum but as been like that since i bought it from the garage,any suggestions please.Thankyou.

if you put a little sugar in your curry it brings out more of the flavour

Hi Stephen 300tdi ,

If you are travelling at speed, do you occasionally see a plume/puff of black smoke appear behind you?

hi and welcome.
how much over the dipstick max line is the oil?
i would get the oil down to the correct level asap.
