Painting rear drums

Never had a problem with black Hammerite. Just use a wire brush first, white spirit then off you go.

thks, bought a nylon brush for the cordless drill to get all the flakes off and thks for the tip about the white spirit

saw some done in red dont look bad, but my hippo is black so dont know what it would look like painted in red , lol

Look a bit boy racer-ish in my opinion. But red front cailpers on the other hand might be alright. I'd go for a shiny black on the drums. Silver would blend in with the alloys.

yeh red thats what i thought a bit boy racer,

looked in halfords today and a very small tin of calliper paint is nearly 7 quid so forget that

the black hammerite I've already bought is straight to rust, so going to use that instead

will make sure i get all the surface rust off and got some white spirit to clean

also going to attempt to get the fuel filter changed under the wheel arch, oh well here go my knuckles , lol

hopefully should get it done over the weekend

Hammerite, sticks better to a bit of surface rust......only need to take the loose stuff off.
