Has anyone had a problem with Paddock spares. I ordered a list of parts 2 weeks ago online. It usually takes 3 or 4 days so i wasn't too concerned when a week passed. I looked at my account again the other day to see that it was still being processed. I used their "contact us" section to ask why the delay, no response. I sent an e-mail to sales dept, and again no response. Always been ok in the past but this is a joke. Probably wont use them again after this.

Use them all the time for the sake of their delivery charges over here, ie £5 + vat under 30 kilos. Have found over the last couple of years that what would once be a 48 hour delivery is now commonly 4 days, but I can live with that.

Used them for the first time this week, and happy with the service. New radiator received within 48 hours of ordering. Have you tried picking up the phone to speak to them?

Edit: also worth noting it's half-term, so lots of places short-staffed last week.

Havent phoned them yet as working late. Have you got a bank holiday this monday? If not ill try then as im off. Ive never had trouble in the past but just a bit pi++ed off with their online lack of coms. Even if they are waiting for an item to make up the order, an e-mail would be good or if waiting too long, send a part order and the balance at their expense.

Agree with all you said there. On another note, have you tried Landypoint? Was watching "new life in the sun" on the tv the other day and this couple from uk moved to france to set up a LR parts shop.

Yeah Mick, actually met them at a car/bike jumble last spring and had a good chat, seemed really nice (and knowledgable) people, will try them sometime, at least give them the opportunity to quote.

No bank holiday over here on Monday.
I've always dotted around between Paddocks, LRDirect, YRM, SP4x4, LRC Huddersfield and a few otgers (Christ, I must have spent some money) Never had a problem yet. Paddocks have contacted me if something wasn't in stock. There must be a rabbit off there Mick. It'll be a simple cock up that gets put down to a computer problem ;)

Four days ago I placed an order, two parts of which I knew were 'order only'. Within the day I got a telephone call from Paddocks asking if I knew this and would I like pattern parts instead or wait, I said wait. They've just sent (last night) confirmation of receipt of the parts and my order is being dispatched today. I fully expect to receive it by Wednesday.

When I've had issues in the past I found it's better resolved by telephone than email. Emails are so easy to overlook ..

Just phone em up, they will sort it out.

Been dealing with them for about 30 years, most times they are very good, considering the amount of stuff they carry. On rare occasions there is a glitch, they usually deal with it speedily if you phone them.

I've had this too, very quick to check up what you want to do or advise you that there may be a few days delay while they get something in.

I used to alternate between John Craddock and Paddocks for all my Series bits, but since John died, and I got my Fender I use mainly Paddocks, and never had any problems with them.
They are extremely helpful on the phone, and 90% of the time I get my bits withing a coupple of days. If there is any delay, they give me a call, a) to apologise for the delay, b) to advise of an expected delivery date, or c) tro offer analternative.
So yes, I do recommend them.

I live 10 mins away from them so don't have to order online hehe. Odd time I do they are usually pretty quick at getting it sent out. Quicker than queuing on a Saturday in there anyway

Cheers Al, i'll give them a ring monday. Only use mobiles over here as here cheaper than landlines but foreign calls would cost a bomb, thats why i work out what i need in the eveings and place the order online. As ive said, been ok in the past but although the online payment goes through instantly ;), they not so quick to respond to emails ive sent.

Lucky you, everything i need i have to get posted. This is a piya when you open something up and realise you forgot to order something or find something broken, no popping down the road to get the bit you need.:(
