Just thought I'd bump this back up to the top. Don't want anyone forgetting what a bunch of cnuts paddocks are. I've finally got a refund off the fookers, but it's taken weeks of e-mails which the good for nothin ****s haven't answered and I've forgotten how many times I've phoned em.
Got meself a crossmember through my local independant LR place who were helpful, courteous and no more expensive. Lesson learned.

Glad you got one ok ;)

I ordered some tyres and a prop from paddocks during the week. They arrived on thursday after just two days. On inspection one of the tyres has big gouges out of the sidewall. I rang them up to tell them. They were suffering a power cut on the whole trading estate and said they would ring me back when the power was back on. I got a phonecall this morning to tell me they would be dropping of a replacement tyre on monday and taking away the damaged one. Time to wait and see if they are gonna keep their promise.

They phoned me the same day I complained. Then nothing happened and it took two fookin months to finally get a refund. I didn't actually want a refund I wanted a useable crossmember but they were unable to provide one. God luck with em ratty I hope you get better service than I did.

seems i'v been lucky , i'v ordered loads of stuff from paddocks and never had trouble ... not that i can remember ...

i even had a couple of what you may call " lucky " orders aswell ;) one of them was quite a big order aswell .... ya get me ..

So far i havent used anyone else for new parts for the Disco's .............. HOWEVER they nearly lost my custom on the very first order i placed with them (a BIG one too) .......... the reason .... lack of customer/supplier communication

Other than that i have placed at least 3 more orders with them and only one arrived late (pay the extra for express delivery people) ;)

Latest order was a 300TDI service kit, 300TDI timing belt kit and a 235/85/16 Kumho MT tyre ......... paid the £5 extra for express delivery and it all turned up next day in perfect condition at 1pm :D

I will continue to use them until they really cock up as to be fair their prices are keen and they carry a good range of stock :D

Local suppliers cant even get close to the prices from Paddocks ..... but it can sometimes mean a case of "pay peanuts get monkeys"

i'm sure thier has bin some hoooo rendus cockups from time to time , don't they all , and it sounds like the customer care could be better but i cant remember havin trouble with them ..... havin said that i hav'nt had to ask fer a refund yet so maybe me view will change at some point .... we'll see ..

Hi how you doing. Kiltedchico in Spain here. I have had problems with most online suppliers, Paddocks, Craddocks etc, but I have also had great service from these two companies, it's a case of swings and roundabouts, ... at present I'm having a ding dong with Garmin over updates for 278c GPS !!!! I agree it does take up a great amount of time all this e.mail/ phone calling over something that these people should get right first time. I must put in a good word for Devon, Famous 4 and Abril, spot on with their customer service, and ways of helping me get around some problems with Spanish quirkyness. Does anybody know of any Land Rover 60th party events in Spain or Portugal ?

I always did and last time it was two days late. I've even had two boxes from the same order arrive on different days.
When I went to my local place they were aware of the manufacturing problems with the (I think) britpart crossmembers, therefore avoiding the same problem. Plus I was able to check it over before paying for it so sure it was ok. LAS in Bangor are the people in question and I have to say they have been very helpful so will definitely be going there again.

I had this storry with Craddocks when i bought my 2" lift of them, they sent me 90 springs when i ordered 110 springs.

If a company is at fault then starts giving you **** like this, the best ting you can do is get on the phone to them, ask to speek to whoevers in charge, then tell them if they dont sort it out now you will report them to the relevent authority, (find out what that authority is first, ive forgotten the title.) This will almost always put your problem strait to the top of there priority list and have it sorted in no time.

I had a load of parts delivered to me in Spain from Paddocks. My only complaint was that the finish on a steel wheel was poor. I emailed a complaint with a picture of the wheel, they rang me back, apologised and sent another wheel within 5 days.

Because of the postage costs they would incure for the return of the orignal wheel to the UK they told me to keep it.

ALL companies have problems and if they all responded as well as Paddocks did with my particular complaint life would be a lot easier.

No affiliation just a satisfied customer

regards

Dave
