So I ordered 5 insa dakars for my disco, costing me £360, from paddock spares. They were pretty quick with delivery, arriving on Christmas Eve, however, all 5 tyres had been stacked up in my drive, which is on a busy road, no door bell, knocks, card through the door etc... Obviously, this left me pretty effed off, not quite sure what route to take now, anyone had any similar experiences with paddock? I don't want to waste my time on the phone if its not worth it?
P.s merry Christmas

Surprisingly not. I was pretty mad though, had half a mind to put a knife through each tyre, then ring paddock and tell them some **** had wrecked em

So you're being a grumpy cnut for them possibly not ringing the bell on what was probably one of the busiest delivery days ?

You sure they didn't knock and you didn't hear it etc…… ?

I suppose the company would be in the **** if they were stolen however if they weren't meant to be signed for then its not really their issue, they delivered…….

Yeah, agreed, most likely over reacting. There was 3 people in the house, I'm quite surprised I didn't have to sign for them, bit lazy of him, if he'd have rang the bell, he'd have saved more time, as I'd have helped him lift them

Not great no, but they could easily have rung or knocked and he could have been too busy ;)

As I said if its not signed for they don't really need to do much other than drop the things off and say they knocked

Any idea who they used ? If you do that might give us an idea as some carriers are notorious for being ****………………...

FedEx were the courier, think ill just ring paddock and let them know, I'd feel a tad harsh having it out with them when it's not their fault

Too right....good fer nothing git rushing round delivering stuff christmas eve

FedEx are usually extremely good  may have just caught him in a rush hence not getting a knock etc.

Anything FedEx is also nearly always signed for too so anyone could easily have claimed it hadn't arrived  they should be covering their arses although they did get it to you just before christmas ;) which was good of the buggers

Must have been a one off, surely they don't send hundreds of £'s of goods around the country without signing for them?

No, as said FedEx are usually very good and always signed for so not sure whats going on there

Was thinking if it was Yodel or someone it might have been a bit different but FedEx are one of the best, I've had stuff from them in the past and it's always been on time and signed for

:lalala:

or just maybe they expeted a ****ehead to put a knife thro`em..

for all you know it may have been a visitor passing by, coming or going.
do you live in an isolated farm track to knowhere, or on a main road.
do your neigbours sign for stuff "if" your not in??

even weirdererer, do you "annoy" yer neighbours to a point of them laughing at the thought of your big boys toys tyres going missing ?

its a strange ol tale we read in this thread,
buy hey, tis a time for goodwill to all men,
even owners of huge tyres.......................:)

If you just imagine some poor bugger with a delivery list he hasn't got a hope of completing and he's not had a chance to get a prezzie fer his doris yet....... yer probably thinking along the right lines

Agency and foreign yes. They get away with it. Mate of mine who is a courier was following a guy back to depot. He was weaving and when stopped asked wtf he was weaving...

He was scanning parcels while driving and was gonna say that he had attempted to deliver and they wernt in... Went through his camera as your ment to take photographic evidence and all the pics were of the inside of the transit roof...
