Hi All,

After my last issue following my valve block and compressor rebuild, I'm still having the initial problems I set out to solve:

- The EAS can be slow to respond to height changes on the press of the button. This happens both when raising and lowering the suspension. For example today it took 2-3 minutes for the access position light to go solid lit from flashing after changing the position from standard height. The vehicle seems to physically move immediately but then does nothing for 2-3 minutes then makes a final adjustment then the light goes solid.

- The EAS will randomly rise to extended height position when driving. I can immediately toggle it back to standard ride height.

- The compressor runs far too frequently in my opinion. It will come on when driving 5-10 seconds at a time every 5-10 minutes. I've just rebuilt the compressor and a pressure gauge fitted to the accumulator tank side has confirmed I don't have a leak on that side and the compressor kicks in and shuts off when it should (~115psi ~150psi). I'm confident there is no leak on the air bags themselves as the car will holds its height for over a week easily.

From what I have researched so far it seems the height changes and slow height changes could possibly be a result of a failing driver pack? As for the compressor running to frequently without any leaks I'm not sure where to start.

It doesn't sound to me as if the compressor is running too much at 5-10 seconds every 5-10 minutes.
Check the white connectors behind the kick panel at the foot of the A post left side of the car for corrosion.
You could try removing the silencer from the valve block exhaust to see if it will drop quicker.
The random rise to extended height could certainly be the driver pack but not the slow height change IMO. Loose contacts in the connectors in the EAS box are more likely to be the cause.

Thanks for replying to one of my EAS threads again!

My reasoning for thinking the compressor is running too much is that if the cut off pressure is ~150psi and the start up pressure is ~115psi then it would have to be losing nearly 35psi in 5-10 minutes in order for the compressor to fire up again? Unless there is another trigger for the compressor to run also?My main concern is that the compressor itself is usually very hot after a reasonable drive and I'm worried about it wearing out prematurely.

I'll locate that white connector and get It checked. I'll try without the exhaust silencer. The threads are a bit chewed so I have new one on the way anyway.

I checked the pins on the main valve block connector after my last issue and found them all to have pretty good contact. But it can't hurt to check again I suppose.

Have your height settings checked. If it keeps pumping up and exhausting it's usually a height sensor and the eas is trying to find it's ideal height.
When two sensors on an axle conflict the eas will try to level the suspension as even as it can and then start dancing up and down. If, that's the case here🤔

Don't forget that the EAS is an active system. It's adjusting heights at all four corners as you drive along.

I've checked the height settings via nanocom and watch the sensor values as I raise and lower the vehicle and everything seems in order. No random readings or jumps etc.

To be fair I didn't consider this. I was under the impression that the bags only received or vented air when changing height via the dashboard button.
