+1 there was one posted that used a wheel bearing and a length of plastic pipe.Look on utube and make your own tool
You need some air in that ball Pete.I made something up from utube make sure you drill hole through it to keep it all tight in the axle
Is he trying to pump it up?Try telling the dog that the balls bigger than he is
