Just wondering how much of a pig changing the foam is?, a few people have said its a pain and not really worth doing but noticed mine does now need a new piece and was looking for any heads up with the job? Thanks.

Thanks Guys for the info...looks like I have them the wrong way round !!!
Yes it is a bit fiddly and you need long arms to reach the screws holding the centre section of the plastic finisher !
Another possible problem is the heads of the screws tend to rust making the screwdriver fit difficult...make sure you get as much ****e out of the head before you try to undo them, use a Pozidrive not a Phillips screwdriver.
I have replaced all the original screws with Stainless,Pozidrive, Pan Head self tappers, size 8 X 3/4" long, get them off Ebay-will last a lifetime.
When you remove the lower winscreen trim (It just pulls off), the clips are left behind and have to be pulled out and refitted into the groove in the finisher. It may pay to get a few spares beforehand..Part no. BTR4428, around £1.00 each (Pricey when you see what they are) as they tend to weaken after repeated removal/refit....I think there are about 14 in total.
Unhook the spring "Wire" frame and remove what's left of the tattered foam. I did a "Mod" this time. I cut a piece of galvanised, light gauge chicken mesh the same size as the foam, fitted it under the foam and it's held in place with the spring frame. The mesh was additionally held to the wire frame by a few small plastic tie wraps. End result is that the foam is fully supported...time will tell if it lasts longer than before.
Whilst you have the panel removed, it's a good opportunity to grease the ball joints on the wiper link arm. Using a screwdriver or similar, prise the ends of the link off the respective ball joints, pack the sockets with grease and refit, making sure they snap back into position. They may need a bit of pressure but they will go back with a positive "Click".
Refit the panels and lower finisher(Aligning the clips up with the holes beforehand).
Put a smear of copper grease on the wiper spindle splines before fitting the wiper arms.
I bought a wiper arm removal tool from Machine Mart sometime ago for around a fiver, makes removal a doddle, very useful piece of kit.
Good Luck
