Pain in the ass that feature..
I'd do without it, especially as my NS mirror goes skyward...
I agree, unnecessary and a good way of wearing out the mirror mechanism.Pain in the ass that feature..

Mine goes wrong way too. What's the reset protocol please...sorted all windows and sunroof already?I must admit it’s a feature I don’t like and feel with large wing mirrors is not needed.
Skyward sounds like it needs resetting.

Thanks for that! Didn't realise it was linked with the driver seat memory function!Mine hoes wrong way too. What's the reset protocol please...sorted all windows and sunroof already?
Is this what you asked?Replying within quotes is a brain fazzle
if so try this.
Automatic dipping for reverse gear selection
(if fitted)
Vehicles with a driver’s seat memory have a
pre-stored function which causes the mirrors to dip automatically whenever reverse gear is selected. If necessary the mirror positions can be altered as follows:
1. Turnthestarterswitchtoposition’I’or’II’ (do not start the engine).
2. Selectreversegear.
3. Adjusteitherorbothmirrorstothe
desired positions.
4. Press the seat MEMORY STORE switch together with either switch 1 or 2 (whichever corresponds with the driver’s seat memory) for 2 seconds (the message centre displays ’MIRROR DIP STORE

it does not need to be linked to the seat memory.
Put car in reverse.
Set mirror to desired to postion
put car in any gear.
When you select reverse again it will return to your previously set reverse position.
Could be. That’s how it works on my L322 - and I think how it worked on my 4.6, but that had full memory seats. i’ll test it on my P38 which does not have memory seats.Really? I wonder if that is post 98 models?
Pretty sure it has to be enabled in the BECM, can't be sure as it's not a feature I would want so never looked closely.Could be. That’s how it works on my L322 - and I think how it worked on my 4.6, but that had full memory seats. i’ll test it on my P38 which does not have memory seats.
Good job its not linked to the drivers memory otherwise most of us on here would be fecked. Thanks for that! Didn't realise it was linked with the driver seat memory function!
