Hi, can anybody help me with my front windows?
Neither on them will move. When the switch is pressed the corresponding outstation can be heard to click (relay?) but nothing happens. The motors work fine as I have applied current directly from the battery and both windows can be moved up and down. Tried a new switch pack which was known to be working but nothing happened. Just clicking of the outstation. Tried changing the outstation. No different. It is as though there is not enough current going to the motors. All fuses are OK. Mirrors work fine. Just the front windows won't work. Please Help. Air con is OK but no substitute for an open window!!!

Check that the 12 volt feed from the BECM to the outstation is there. Another thread mentioned failure of I think the purple wire taking the 12 volts from the BECM due to a problem in the BECM.

Thanks for the reply Datatek. I'll check it as soon as I can. I assume this is the motor power supply cable and not a data cable? I recall having 12 volts at the motor terminal which reverses polarity depending on the switch position, up or down. As there is 12 volts at the motor I'm assuming there is not enough current to drive it. I'm thinking this because a 250ma 12v power supply wouldn't move the window but a direct feed from the battery did.

All sorts of possibilities from corroded connectors to broken wires, all you can do is follow it all through with the diagrams from RAVE.

Had similar issues with mine a few days ago; make sure you have EKA code, disconnect battery earth for 10mins, then try it again.........no guarantees, but cleared mine, and......(touching wood) ......no issues again since!

Just an update for anybody who is interested.
I finally got round to looking at this problem at weekend and am happy to say everything is now working properly.:)
The fault was corroded wiring under the carpet/insulation on both sides of the car.
Heavy purple wire with blue stripe was badly corroded in several places so I cut it out and soldered a new piece in.
Just wish I'd done it sooner!!!

The wires are right under your feet! you need to lift the plastic trim at the edge of the carpet and lift the carpet and sponge sould insulation. There is a thick bundle of wires covered in tape. They are in that lot somewhere. Mine were damaged due to being trodden on and water ingress due to leaves around the pollen filters. Inspect the wires carefully for damage. Good luck.

Hi guys, can anyone please help? I have the same problem as "prechav" above. windows, heater motor, mirrors and wipers in op. The rear wiper does one cycle when engine switched off. I was advised becm so spent £250 on a replacement to no avail my next move was replace fuse box? Could anyone please advise where the root of this issue may lie. I've got continuity in the cables and all motors work when powered directly, I'm stuck and pulling my hair out.
