Lol, I thought you lot would fiercely defend your own models !
I drive a 2000 freelander diesel here, now that is a joke lol.
Oh yeah showing my complete ignorance, what on earth is a 3 RF receiver ?

It's a third generation r/f receiver for the key fob. The older versions pick up spurious signals which re alarm the car and relock the doors. This can lead to flat batteries and burnt out door lock motors. You didn't say you were a Gaylander owning hairdresser.:p:D

And although I want to px my Audi tt I'm definitely not teasey weasey !

The one I'm looking at is a 98 so doubt it has that. Anyway it would sit around for weeks unused so I'd disconnect the battery and attach my solar charger.

Dont disconnect the battery for any length of time. I used to and it fecked up the becm. I use a maintenance charger now with the battery connected. I use a solar charger on my car in Fuerteventura. Mind you its a 96 Clio with 260k klms on the clock

Papa or Nicole ?

Confession time - I've always thought a V6 manual Freelander with full leather blah, blah, would be fairly useful (providing somebody had done the cambelts first).
And I'm certainly no crimper :).
