TX is showing what the software is sending. It's the RX values that need to be correct, so the software then shows "good idle". Have you checked the connection from the Diagnostic Port to the ECU, especially the left footwell connections ?

Once it actually connects properly, the TX will show a steady stream. Then when you click the various things like Read Faults or Get Values, the TX will change to a few transmit bytes for each command.

Do you mean the EAS ecu under the left seat? To be honest I am not sure what to look out for other than a really obvious broken cable or unplugged connector. Mine is LHD if it makes a difference. The EAS has been causing nothing but trouble over the last couple of years. Otherwise the car is more or less perfect with only 53 thousand km since new.

In the footwell at the base of the A post drivers side in your case, there is a kick panel. Behind the panel are 2 white connectors. They are notorious for corrosion causing all manner of EAS problems. The definitive cure is to cut, solder and heat shrink sleeve the wires one at a time.

I will have a look tomorrow in the daytime as it is cold and wet outside. I will try to make some room in the garage as well so that I can do it indoors.
Thank you for your help and patience guys, it is much appreciated!
