Thank folks. Am looking at a 2.5DT but it has got leather (would not want one without TBH). So it should have manual AC. Will check that out. Might be a good thing looking at the number of post about climate control probs!

If it has the manual controls, I think you will find it has no aircon.

Datatek, I think the only way you can confirm if you have a dHSE or not is to check the manufacturers spec for your VIN on Microcat. There has been a huge amount of retro fitting etc with a lot of rangies and the only thing dHSE about some of them is the sticker on the tailgate.
I was sold what was advertised and badged as a 99 dHSE. It's actually a 98MY DSE with all the bells and whistles available off the option list in 98, but a dHSE it aint. They were only introduced in late 1999/00 with the facelift. The only thing I'm missing is memory function for the seats, they are fully electric. Now I don't know if things were different in other markets but that is the way it was in UK.

I've never heard of half electric seats before, thats interesting. BTW, if you can get your hands on the stereo control buttons, all the wiring is already there so you could retro fit them if you liked.

All the documentation and build info say's it is original, it's the facelift model. It has other things like the auto dip mirrors.
Personally I wouldn't want radio buttons on the steering wheel, I only ever use the radio on the autoroute for traffic warnings.:D

Am I able to put a DHSE 2001 interior into a 99 DSE RR? Is the wiring all there and ready to go? I have a good interior here with all the bells and whistles

In pretty good condition needs a clean up obviously, weighing up some options to see if it’s worth putting back on the road or not.

Hi, been searching the web for info on trim levels. And was taken here. I have a 95 P38, 4.0L RHD badged as a SE. This car has a lot of wood, cruise control, steering wheel controls and heated seats. It doesn’t have electrical adjustment on the seats. Also the front door cards have a little arm rest addition. The spec looks like a HSE. It also has Overfinch badges on the tailgate and front grill. I discounted this as someone having a laugh till I saw the front number/valance has overfinch in a raised moulding. I know Overfinch did a nice engine upgrade but did they also do subtle trim mods? Any ideas?

I think a previous owner has bought bits and badges and stuck them on. Not sure if Overfinch ever did a 4.0,@Henry_b or @Saint.V8 will probably know. I think you have an Underpigeon:rolleyes:;):D

Mine's supposed to be a DT but many features were only available on DSE. Interiors were cheap on the Bay so many people upgraded as theirs became tatty.

Don't know about the Overfinch part. I'd be surprised they didn't change the lump but maybe it had an engine swap. @marjon knows a bit more about them. And @Saint.V8 has the Rangie bible.

Engine,brakes,suspension and trim I believe.

It’s what I’ve always believed but given it’s practically a HSE spec? I did wonder why go to the bother of buying a SE and adding extra’s?
Thanks for the responses.

till I saw the front number/valance has overfinch in a raised moulding.

Do you mean the lower front spoiler bit? Got a pic.
Overfinch, from what I can tell didn’t really do much outside visually. Mostly inside and underneath the bonnet.

Thing is any work you asked for was all pic & mix depending on how much you wanted. So they are pretty much all different.

I suspect somebody got some trim/badges and bunged them on, If it had been to OF for any real work the invoice would have been kept with the paperwork as proof (keep some value;)) I would also expect a few more OF bits if it was a real 1:).
