Hi all i joined a while back but got slapped for not introducing myself first and ran away for a hole somewhere. I am in Ireland and have had several landies in my life. I currently have a 95 Disco 1 with low miles and just sold my 99 P38. I was very impressed with the P38 so going to buy another one same year. she is a diesel manual and she had an engine change by the previous owner and the problem is she starts easy enough but will only rev and dies. Blowplugs are manual so will fix that first. I plan the check sensors and timing but was wondering if anyone with great experience which is normal on some of these groups, would be able to assist. By the way i am a South African living in Ireland.

Yeah have to take some then load onto my laptop but will do shortly. Not a tech type just the basics hence my daily drive now is a 95 Disco 1 with 65k miles from new. put on a second hand galvo chassis. She has zero rust but treated the heck out of her. Now sporting a winch bumper and bash plate. Next is a respray. Runs like new.

65k miles only second owner from new. Rescued from 14 years in a shed. Needs dents removed and a spray job but runs like a dream. Found foldable seats handles were bend away and covered by the commercial conversion for Irish market. On a second hand galvo chassis. Started first turn

Hi all. The update on my P38 start issue is as follows. I bought a Sync Mate and it tells me that the becm and ecu are synced. I have power to FIP solenoid and starter. In tank fuel pump no power to plug. Checked and changed several relays. i have 12v at one pin and if i bridge the relay i still get no power to the pump plug. I can gravity feed fuel to it to try start but would any one have any knowledge. Checked inertia and fuse and all good.

Best to ask over in the Range rover section of the forum

you will only get power to the intank pump when the glowplugs are on or the engine is running.
