been trying all day, online and phone, just seems a nightmare and very hit and miss, some comming in at thousands or cant quote, a fair few around a grand

why ????? ive had the thing on the road a year no accidents , no claims at all in nearly 4 years driving, its like they think a 2.5 diesel 96 range rover is a ferrari or something , i paid under 400 last year, they even doubled to 900

unreal

flux it is i think

I had online quote today from Adrian Flux age 53 1 year ncb 1000 voluntary excess the quote was £315 full comp. then got email from them this evening to save a further 20% call the hotline number. WOW a bargain quote compared with tossco £900 whom i have been insured with for the past year, every little helps

£1000 excess !!!

 £350 to 900 my insurance has gone up from on the renewal letter, its been insured with lancaster landy specialist policy for 2 years, renewal letter says the broker has changed its criteria

had a quick go compare and confused, still comming in at around 800 cheapest, its unreal

not had an accident or claim or anything at all ,im a bit shocked , can some of you guys recomend/post up some landy friendly companies to try please
:(

Had the same a couple of years ago with a Disco I had at the time with Lancaster and the same reason.
Went from £180 full comp on the specialist policy to over £450 on a normal policy so swap and found one for £280 ish.

Traders policy could be a good way for some people,if you have more than one car and change them regularly, works well for me £800 fully comp.

German company I believe, goes with you handle:) Very expensive here in France, 2 to 3 times more than the competition. How do these companies work out their tariffs.?

What the market will bear - i.e. what they think you can afford / are willing to pay. Very little to do with real risk.

crazy ay !!!

only reason i got the disco in the 1st place 2 year ago was coz lancsster quoted so cheap, evryone else was 8-900 then, 2 years with them and no claims and 14 of them months in the p38

only thing i can think of is.... i used breakdown cover 4 times i them 2 years, meaning they probably didnt make much profit out of me if any ? think it could be that reason they say that ? m although lancaster tried telling me the actual broker/company have stopped that policy hmmm

P38 4.6 was £320 with Swiftcover. I'm in my 40's.

They 'mirror' the max NCB I have accrued on other car and apply it to this policy - then, after 1 year, it stands alone as a seperate NCB.

Great idea, I think
