How often do the o ring go any ideas mine were replaced 2 years ago

from memory original ones were flat and replacement were round profile- mine the bracket had to be pulled up more to seal when I refited aftermarket-should last longer than 2 years if pipes were cleaned and refitted

Pollen filter housing will leak when it rains or when you wash the car. Has it rained down south? The A/C drains will drip, if they are clear, when the A/C is running.:)

Cheers mate but I was talking about the joint where the o rings are located does engine need to b running for that to drip

Sorry didn't realise you've gone off topic, taste the water, if its sweet (anti-freeze) then its the O rings. This will be on the drivers side of course. Guess they will drip more when under pressure (running/hot).:D

Ok mate cheers I smelt the carpet sponge it smelt sweet and was a bit oily will run car for a bit c I've I can spot it dripping

Iv been out in the car just got back checked the place the where the metal an plastic pipes meet and nothing dripping it did leak before an as u say it could b that normal water has got in and that's whats made the carpet smell sweet again the anti freeze I used 2 years ago was pink but since my car was done about 1 year ago the garage replaced it with blue anti freeze and under the carpet the foam is still a pink colour not blue but I'm at a loss as to where it's coming in from I've checked the pollen filters all bone dry and it's only the drivers side

Found the leak it's from inside the pollen filter housing can I replace the housing and is it a big job as I've now got to put all the inside ov the car back together having stripped it all down to get at them poxy o rings that are dry an no leak from there

No need to replace the housing, just strip the metal work down and clear out the drain, then replace and re seal covering the screw heads with silicon. There's a how to thread somewhere.
