I’m hoping someone can tell me they’ve seen this before and that there’s a (relatively cheap) fix for this. I’ve got a 2001 RR HSE 4.6 with 144000 km. When you put it in “D” it will not move (“R” is fine). But I can move it to “1” and it will drive as normal (shifting to “2” and “3” as speed requires). At next stop, I have to shift back down to “1” and start over.

Plenty of threads on this, it's known problem I think it's the sprag clutch failed but I cannot remember the details, sorry.
I suppose you have checked that there is oil in there, and that it has had regular oil changes?
Bemble is your man.
It's going to be gearbox out I suspect, unless you wish to keep on using 1st to pull away:eek:
