The clips are all part of the panel, its all one plastic peace so if they snap off complete replacement. I got away lucky
You sure did.
I had a plastic piece fall off wipers today. Replacement part cost £80ish quid! The broken bit was aerofoil from wiper arm.
However, I won't be buying or fitting. The incompetents at Autowindscreens will! Three times they have been out to fix the cracked windscreen. 2 screens and 3 trims later I thought it was fixed. I thought wrongly.
The tech had mentioned adjusting the wipers, when he first arrived. I raised an eyebrow and directed him to the trim gap at top of window. I then go off to see to lambs , etc. I come back a while later and he is working , in the rain, without pulling canopy over! So he gets moved into covered space next to cows. As I jump in to drive under shelter I noticed a blob of mastic on wiper. I thought nothing of it, thinking it was possibly some trim sealant that had dropped , and he would clean it.
Job done, I pay lots of attention to seal around window , and half forgot about windscreen wiper. Cursory glance , looks like he's wiped it off. But was only cursory.
Today, I jump in, and switch on wipers, as it's raining. Something clunks and seems to fall off wipers. Out I get and laying on vent is the aerofoil from driver's blade arm.
Furious does not begin to describe it.
Moral of story: if your insurance wants to use Autowindscreens instead of Autoglass, tell them to go procreate with themselves.:D

Thanks. :)
The girl I spoke to has been the same one for each issue, and she has been lovely. She understood my anger, and was very helpful. It's not her fault, so wasn't much point being angry at her.
Had I noticed it before he left, he'd be a sorry man.
He'd best hope they don't send him to fix it ;)
I could replace arm myself but won't . Don't see why I should.
I 'm really annoyed at his dishonesty.

You go for it. When I made or still do a mistake I will hold my hands up and take it on the chin

Anyone know how this goes back in. One of me lads was getting some paving slabs out of the back yesterday and caught the plastic trim and popped it out. It pushes down but comes straight back up. Have tried me hammer but feels like something is stopping it. Rave is very vague View attachment 240509

I did the same with something. A log I think. That's what it is there for!

I was thinking of a repair part to go over the broken lugs to clamp the trim instead of big washers.
Is there enough room to glue a small piece of plastic over the broken bits & then redrill the hole?
I've repaired some plastic bumper tags (& splits on colour coded bumpers before fill & paint) by using a soldering iron to melt stainless steel mesh into the realigned broken parts.

If you would go ape sh*t for that , how about this. I live a good 5hrs plus return journey from their nearest centre. Last night I get an email asking when would be suitable for me to go to them to get part replaced!
Needless to say, snotagram sent in return. They are now sending a tech to my home to replace part.
Sometimes, I think being polite and helpful is detrimental to decency from others.

Some folks would just accept it. Sometimes speaking in a firm voice is the only language they understand

Mine has same broken lugs, and currently sitting in the garage waiting for me to repair is. The plan is to epoxy / araldite some drilled metal strips where the plastic has broken, and then screw back in place. The carpet section should hide the mods !!
