Hi All,

Cold and fed up now after replacing a faulty rear eas height sensor.

I have replaced the original one on my 95 4.6 HSE and now need to calibrate.

I have the RSW software and lead which seems to work.

How do I reset the settings and start again as my readings went blank and now seem be all over the place?

Can anyone tell me what the height codes should be so that I can put them back in the calibration boxes?.

I reckon you could start off with a value of 100 for each corner for normal setting and go from there, with maybe a difference of 10 between each height. Then get your tape measure out and calibrate each corner.

I found I got dodgy readings when software/cable wasn't working correctly, the ECU shouldn't lose them after all.

It is not possible for the EAS computer to loose the stored height profiles. They are always still in the EAS computer. Also, if you try to re-calibrate one of the stored height profiles at a certain corner too high, the EAS comuter will go into EAS fault mode and reset all the EAS stored height values to the factory default.

When recalibrating, always measure from the center of the wheel hub to the center of the wheel arch.

I would begin with just a tape measure and the Rover idling. Send the vehicle to each stored height, access, highway, standard and extended. Get the measurements for each corner of the vehicle at each height.

Then go into the EASunlock software and begin to recalibrate. MAke sure of course that the EASunlock software is working properly and properly synced with the EAS computer (FF in the Rx)

Once inside the EASunlock calibration section, read all the stored heights. Any returned values of 255 are not correct and that line should be read again. Then begin to play with the values for each corner on one stored height profile at a time. So for example, if you Left front at standard height is about 1.5 inches too low compared to the rest of the corners, add 5 points and write the changes. Then send the vehicle to the height that you modified and get out an measure the diference. Repeat for each corner and each stored height.

Even in the best of circumstances in a Land Rover shop, this process take close to an hour. Take your time and good luck.

Thank you both very much.

I should have dried out and warmed up by the morning and I will try again.
Bad day to-day, pouring with rain and windy. Bolts rusted into the collets fixing the sensors,took me nearly an hour then decided to pop down to the shops and bought an angle grinder, shame they didn't tell me the disk was not included.
I was going to do the left side !!!!


What I failed to say was I have replaced the early original with the service kit, This contains the sensor assy. bracket, loom, ty-wraps and nuts and bolts. The bracket has for holes (two positions) that the sensor bracket may be positioned. I bet I have used the wrong position.I will let you know how I get on
